How will the player(s) be notified of what team they are on?
The coaches receive their team rosters and equipment in early May, and should contact all of their players by the second week of May. They will provide player uniforms, ball and scheduling information.
Does the Club provide team/player photos?
The Club arranges for team and player photos, which are usually taken the first week of July. Every player will be provided with an individual as well as a team photo.
What equipment do players need?
The Club supplies a uniform to every registered player, which includes a team jersey, shorts and socks. The player must supply shin pads and appropriate footwear. The Ontario Soccer Association rules (insurance purposes) do not allow players to play without proper equipment or play if they are not fully registered (paid in full).
When does the season start and end?
The summer soccer season is expected to start the week after the Victoria Day week-end (weather permitting). Travel team schedules are set by their own leagues (NRGSL, SRSL and OWSL) but are expected to start around the same time. The NUSC House League program runs to the third week of August. Those divisions that have playoffs, may play one week longer. The end of the season for travel teams is somewhere between late August and mid September, depending on the age group and playoff schedules.
How old does my child have to be to play?
For our youngest age group, Under 4, players must be turning 3 in the current year of registration. This is an Ontario Soccer Association policy.
When is registration?
Registration typically runs from January through to the end of March each year. We have in-person registration days once a month starting in January through to March that are advertised here on our website, in the local community papers and on the Club answering system. We also have on-line registration with on-line credit card payment. This runs for a full 3 months, January 1st to March 31st. All registrations received on or after April 1st of each season, will be subject to a late fee of $20 per player and team placement is subject to availability. Players are not considered registered until full payment is received.
